Rick Dethlefsen, Author
Originally from California, Rick is a retired Sergeant Major from the United States Army. He currently enjoys working with children as a librarian at the Waverly School District in Lansing, Michigan. He resides in Mason, Michigan with his wife, LeAnn, their dogs, Stan and Adler, and their cat, Viola.
Kristin MacArthur, Illustrator
Kristin is an Oil Painter and Mixed Media artist living in Northern California. Her art is heavily inspired by the natural world and elements of fantasy. Though she primarily works with traditional media, she also loves to create digital illustrations using Procreate. This is how Scotty and his friends are brought to life!
